Tesla Cybertruck Program Head Siddhant Awasthi Departs After Eight Years
Tesla Inc.’s Cybertruck program lead Siddhant Awasthi has exited the company, marking the end of an eight-year tenure that saw him rise from intern to overseeing one of the automaker’s most ambitious projects. His departure follows a pattern of executive turnover at Elon Musk’s electric vehicle giant.
Awasthi spearheaded the Cybertruck’s journey from early engineering phases to full-scale production, tackling technical hurdles and optimizing assembly processes. His LinkedIn profile highlights contributions to Model 3 scaling, electronics architecture, and operations at Tesla’s Shanghai Gigafactory. "Delivering the once-in-a-lifetime Cybertruck before 30 has been a thrilling journey," he wrote.
The exit underscores ongoing leadership reshuffles at Tesla as it navigates production challenges and intensifying EV competition. While cryptocurrencies aren’t directly implicated, such volatility in a tech bellwether could ripple through crypto markets given Tesla’s $1.5 billion Bitcoin holdings and Musk’s influence as a crypto market mover.
